IT Network Engineer
Network Engineers plan, develop and implement computer network and system services and troubleshoot problems related to them. They generally work as part of an IT team, where they test and document computer network behaviour, performance and security to ensure optimal performance.
To work as a Network Engineer in Australia, you are generally required to have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering. A Diploma of Network Engineering may provide the necessary training to gain access to entry-level roles.
Complete an undergraduate degree, such as a Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Systems, or Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering.
Achieve industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
