Carpenter

Job Description

Carpenters are skilled craftsmen who work in the construction and cabinet making industry. They install, build, construct, repair and erect wooden frames, walls and foundations on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Carpenters are also required to work with all levels of maintenance, production, engineering, and other outside services.

Qualifications

Carpenters are required to be qualified. You will need to have finished year 10 and be placed in an apprenticeship to start your training.

You may consider certifications through TAFE in;

  • Certificate III in Carpentry.
  • Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery (4 years)

You will also need to obtain construction induction training and get a "White Card"
