In this industry they may work in a busy used vehicle car yard or in a state-of-the-art showroom. They may also work in wholesale or in an auction environment. Vehicle Sales Representatives commonly have a mechanical background or many years of experience working with vehicles.

Qualifications

There are no formal educational requirements to work as a Sales Consultant or Sales Representative in new or used vehicle sales.

Most companies will give you training on the job, where you can learn from a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Representatives. You will also be likely to receive training from Sales Consultants about product they sell.
