Job Description
Automotive Electricians are qualified and specialised to install new electrical systems and parts to motor vehicles. They repair and maintain electrical wiring and components. This may include electronic ignition, cruise control, automatic transmission and air conditioning. With the help of various equipment, auto electricians test and identify service faults and malfunctions in the vehicles.

In order to become an automotive electrician a person usually needs to complete an Automotive Electrician apprenticeship or qualification.
