Massage Therapists are trained to manipulate the soft tissue of the body to treat pain, discomfort, injuries, stress or other conditions of their clients. Massage Therapists may specialise in particular form of massage therapy, such remedial, sports, relaxation and pregnancy massage.

Qualifications

The Certificate IV in Massage Therapy is a nationally recognised, entry level qualification for Massage Therapists.

Complete a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy. This course will provide you with the essential techniques of relaxation massage, incorporating neuromuscular techniques and sports massage. It also incorporates massage business practices and practical clinic hours.

Further your training by completing Diploma of Remedial Massage. This course provides you with a deeper level of understanding of the human body and the art of massage, enabling you to treat more specific and complex conditions.

You may choose to join a professional association such as the Association of Massage Therapists, or the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
