Qualifications
To work as a Data Scientist in Australia, a post-graduate qualification in data science is recommended. Having a foundational understanding of programming languages and linear algebra is a considerable advantage to students pursuing this career path.
Once you have an undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g. information technology, mathematics, econometrics), undertake a postgraduate course in data science. This may be a Graduate Diploma of Data Science or a Master of Data Science.
