Community Support Worker

Job Description

Community Support Workers aid those within the community that need extra help. They support clients in various ways, such as assisting with personal care including grooming and feeding, household chores such as cooking and cleaning, and arranging transportation and recreational activities. They may consult with social workers and other service providers to find appropriate outside activities and help their clients arrange their schedules. They may also provide companionship for clients.

  • You’ll need to apply for a police check through us
  • Working with Children Check (if working with children)
  • Mandatory COVID-19 training
  • Two references

Consider completing a Diploma in Community Services.

Another option is to gain work experience in a vocational placement.
